Lighting Sound Effects Music
Create a narrative scene inspired by the following prompt:
A student discovers an object that causes a flashback and a strong emotional response.
THE ENTIRE GOAL OF THIS ASSIGNMENT IS TO GET THE AUDIENCE TO FEEL THE SAME EMOTION AS THE CHARACTER IN YOUR STORY.
This project was inspired by the following video:
Step 1. Preproduction
- Think of an object you have that causes you to have a strong emotional response - Strongly encourage you to be inspired by true stories from your past.
- The emotions can be happy, sad, scary, etc
- Write a Half page to full page story about a character discovering an object and having an emotional flashback
- Story must be approved by Mr Boberg before filming
- Story must have:
- Character and object - Voice over narration explaining a story behind the object - EMOTION
Step 2. Production
At least one light must be used. Think about how certain types of light and color affects mood.
Can be filmed on a tripod or handheld
Step 3 - Post Production
1-2 minutes Mixed song from Epidemic Sound OR an original song you create At least 10 practical sound effects - meaning sound effects you would actually hear Voice over
